Daddy - Catch Me!

🌸 🌸 🌸 🌸 🌸 🌸

She runs and runs,

laughing and giggling,

thinking she’s outrunning him. 

He plays along,

letting her run ahead,

and finally he grabs her,

and they giggle and laugh

with a playful embrace. 

Daddy - you caught me.

I am yours.

You see me. 

I am important to you. 

As she grows,

she explores other things

not asking for him to play along.

He lets her explore alone,

but when her heart breaks,

she thinks...

Daddy hold me.

I can’t take the pain.

I need to feel safe

and guided wisely through the strain.

Daddy – you held me.

I am yours.

You see me.

I am important to you.

Years later,

daddy passed away.

She looked for comfort

in her heavenly Father.

I will catch you, He says.

Come to Me.

I’ll go before you.

Father, you caught me.

I am yours.

You see me.

I am important to you.

I’ve never known the love of a daddy, but I got to witness it in my young girls. However, I have known the love of my Heavenly Father- and I can assure you He catches us, He sees us, and we are important to Him. ❤️
