IT'S RAINING: The true story of one family's trial and how God communicated with them

The Book Synopsis

Rachelle's life would never be the same. The accident had left her husband physically paralyzed and mentally compromised. Her role as a wife, homeschooling mother, and entrepreneur was buried under her new role as a full-time caregiver and sole manager of their whole household and lives. After a close family friend, and personal injury lawyer, had convinced her to file the lawsuit; she maintained hope that somehow, someday, there could be some significant financial relief.  Never did she imagine how her faith, strength, and endurance would be tested and proven as the corporate defendants refused to accept any responsibility, pushed back, and played unfairly.

This is her powerful true story of their family's journey through a seven-year personal injury lawsuit and how applying their faith helped them navigate, endure, and even grow through the process of waiting. It is also a story...

My response about The Man Who Showed Men What It Means To Protect The Ones You Love.

I have written five letters, and my commentary, below:

Jada,

You should feel like the most protected, valued, treasured, and honored woman at this moment.

You are not defined by your beauty, but your beauty does define you as you radiate from your entire being. Your eyes and smile sparkle and give us a glimpse into your soul as you give pieces of yourself away to the projects and missions you are accomplishing.

Thank you for the work you have done, and are doing, for the daughters, women, and communities of people we all touch.

♥

Will,

Thank you for standing up! Thank you for not letting that moment get lost, that moment when your natural tendency to laugh hit your heart and you realized something wasn’t right. You had seconds to react or respond, and I believe you chose the braver route – to respond.

It wasn’t the time or place perhaps, others may say, but you chose it to be important eno...

The Domino's Effect - A Giving Story

The Domino’s Effect

Telling the Story with My Commentary

Because it has been a habit of ours, for almost fifteen years now, to set aside a predetermined percentage of our income into our “benevolence” checking account, I no longer think it is difficult to financially bless someone with everyday needs or minor emergencies. It truly is amazing to see how my small, spontaneous, generosity can make such a HUGE impact in another person’s life and ultimately, and hopefully, in the Kingdom of God.

* * * * * *

My teen daughter, Kara, and I had decided our Saturday afternoon together would consist of watching a tv series, playing on our phones, ordering pizza, and eating junk food.

I was all set to feed my rest, and indulge in laziness, when our doorbell rang for the pizza being delivered. My daughter had handled all the details on the app, including the tip, and she jumped up to answer the door.

Looking back, I wonder if the Holy Spirit was nudging me to also go to the door, because I wa...

Start Your Benevolence Account

how to Feb 01, 2022
  • Decide on a Title for Your Account
    i.e. “Family Name Benevolence”

  • Open a Free Checking Account with Your Custom Account Title
(Local Credit Union or Online Options)

  • Order Debit Cards with Customized Name on the Card for “Benevolence” (one per person authorized to spend from the account)

  • With the Bank, Configure Debit Cards & Checking Account Accordingly
(i.e. pull from a savings account if funds are too low for a spontaneous transaction.)

  • Order Custom Checks for that Account

  • Decide Monthly Deposit Amount
(Set Amount or % of Income. Aim to grow it.)

  • Set up the way to automatically incorporate this as part of your monthly budget work & planning
(logistics – online transfers, automatic deposits, reminders, etc.)
  • Decide your “Rules” for the account.
    Our initial rules were simple:

100% of the money put into this account is God’s, and we can only use it on other people to bless them, not on ourselves.

Once the money is in the account, we cannot take it back out for ours...

Wives. Do you feel honored, valued, respected, and cherished?

Or, do you feel trapped, isolated, degraded, and belittled?

It took me YEARS to struggle and wrestle with the Scriptures when it came to whether or not I could have boundaries (inside and outside of our home) with my husband.

Did the Word apply to my marriage in the same way we would use it towards non-believers, sinners, and other not-so-intimate relationships?

Turns out, the Lord showed me a few things, and He has been showing things to other wives in bondage as well.

Seems there is a wave of freedom happening among Christian wives of men who have decided to walk in sinful behaviors without repentance or remorse to the point of reconciliation, specifically during the time their wives are trying to hold everything ...

Saving Samuel: Questions of Faith & Medical Interventions

saving samuel Nov 23, 2021

Is it "saving my son" to help him live ... or to allow him to die?

and,

Is my son "saved", meaning will he for sure go to Heaven?

I woke up this morning with this new thought about a chronic issue we have been walking through. I have decided to bring this to light, asking for your prayers and insight, as I do not want to continue walking this journey alone (alone allows room for these thoughts and feelings to linger: unsure, unconfident, fearful, wishy-washy).

Whatever our decisions are, I know that I need to be making them, and standing in them, in faith (full assurance of what I hope for) and not be double minded or wishy washy. There should be no confusion. (Hebrews 11, James 1)

Yesterday, we had around our 47th monthly appointment with my son's nephrologist and his team (nutritionist, nurse, social worker). This is after about at least 36 monthly appointments (and plenty of hospitalization stays) with his previous nephrology team.

He has been dealing with FSGS (nephrotic synd...

Ivermectin Controversies

Uncategorized Sep 08, 2021

Here is a collection of information regarding Ivermectin. It is not organized, but feel free to use it as it helps you figure out whether or not you feel comfortable using this drug as a preventative or as treatment for COVID-19.

I personally took two 3mg pills a day for 5 days while I had COVID symptoms. I did not have any noticeable side effects from the doctor's prescription.

Group 1: 31 countries using Ivermectin for treatment of Onchocerciasis (onco-sir-ky-asis) (black fly parasite that causes blindness, rashes, etc) ; MORBIDITY (disease rate and suffering) and MORTALITY (death) "were statistically significantly less"

Group 2: 22 countries that are not using Ivermectin (non-endemic); "The average life expectancy was statistically significantly higher in the non-endemic countries."

The recovery and fatality rates were not statistically si...

Podcast: The Healing Scriptures I Prayed

Podcast: The Healing Scriptures I Prayed
26:20

On today's podcast episode, I mentioned I would post the Scriptures here. Here they are! ♥

 Matthew 21:21-22

So Jesus answered and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done. "And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."

Mark 5:33, 36

And He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction." ... As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, "Do not be afraid; only believe."

Mark 5:25-29

Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind [Him] in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, "If only I may touch Hi...
