Give and It Shall Be Given You

[Continued from a previous post]

We had opened our separate free checking account and named it “Benevolence”. We ordered two debit cards with that name imprinted on them; one for each of us.

The goal was to carry these in our individual wallets, and be ready for the next time either one of us saw someone in need. With whatever money we had previously set aside, we would be able to be a blessing to that person without it impacting “our budget”. We would now be proactively setting aside money in advance and having it impact our budget on the front end.

Because we were personally living on a month-to-month cash basis ourselves, we definitely had discussions about whether or not it was responsible for us to add this new line item in our budget.

How to set up iPhone Content Restrictions for kids/teens

Uncategorized Jul 09, 2020

I recently received multiple requests from moms with boys on how to set up iPhone restrictions.

1. Go to the Settings Gear on your iPhone (black gear icon)

2. Choose Screen Time

3. Choose Content & Privacy Restrictions

4. Choose your level of restrictions.

Click WEB CONTENT section to go even deeper.

5. Define what level of protection you want.

If he/she tries to access another website, it will show a screen to "allow website" and you will need to enter your screentime passcode to allow it. This will NOT automatically add this website to the "Allowed Websites Only" list. It will be for only that occasion. So, if it is a school link or something they will need to see frequently, be sure to copy the URL (from the internet address bar) and add it to their allowed list.

When I was seventeen, I heard the message again as my adopted family put me back into the system! And on and on and on I have heard that message... never have I found a family to date that will call me their own (and treat me as if I were). I am an outcast, an outsider, on my own.

When I turned seventeen, and I found my birthmother and learned that my conception was a result of her being raped, it was another huge confirmation to my belief, at that moment, that I was never wante...
